Dear friends and Family,
My name is Johan Nevlida. A 24 year old third culture kid (TCK) who now lives in North Highlands, Ca. I was born in the Philippines, moved to China when I was 11, and moved to Roseville, Ca at the age of 14. Travelling around the world at such an early age allowed me to be a part of multiple cultures and opened my eyes to the different perspectives that each of them had. It was tough growing up, it felt like I never fit in. Always looking for a sense of identity and doing things that I thought would get me liked or accepted. Luckily an organization called YoungLife introduced me to Jesus while attending Woodcreek High School. It has been a long journey since then and God has done so much in my life that lead me deeper into his love. Seeing the need for help in my home country, I felt convicted that the gifts that I was given throughout my life, were meant to be used for a greater purpose. To spread the love of Jesus.
I have recently been accepted to participate in a program called the World Race through an organization called adventures and missions. In January 2018, myself and others who have been called to serve will be traveling to 11 countries in 11 months (Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, India, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda) doing different kinds of ministry such as working with orphans, teaching English, planting churches, building homes, bringing food and water to those who are in need, ministering to inmates and to those who are trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking, and more. Things that I never thought was going to be ever a part of my Christian walk, but here we are, given a calling to leave it all behind for the sake of the kingdom. Traveling has always been a big part of my life and to be able to share Jesus in parts of the world where He is truly needed is a such a blessing.
This year-long journey can not be done without your blessings. Here is where you, whomever God appointed, become a part of this journey. I need your prayers! Pray that I would be equipped with the full armor of God. That I may serve Him with all my strength, mind, body and spirit. Pray for those who we may come in contact with, that they may have their hearts softened and receive the full grace of God through Christ Jesus. Furthermore his year-long trip will cost $18,100. This includes all air and land travel and medical insurance expenses. I would need to raise $5,000 by Sept. 28, 2017 in order to go to training camp on Oct 18. $10,000 by Dec 18, 2017 in order to launch Jan 12, 2018. $13,000 by Feb 28, 2018 and the full $18,100 by Apr 30, 2018. These numbers seems ridiculous I know, but when God calls, He provides. For whatever amount your heart says you can give, I will be so thankful. Though I am the one going on this trip, it’s through your provisions that the message of Jesus will be spread through out the world.

Adventures In Missions is a tax-exempt organization under IRS code 501(c)(3) and is a member of the ECFA. (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Due to IRS and ECFA regulations governing the administration of tax deductible donations given in support of a particular trip/program, support contributions given on behalf of an individual will be used to offset the costs of the trip/program you are involved in. All contributions are non-refundable regardless of the participant’s success in completing the program.

With monthly donations through my blog site, you may select a start date and automatic stop date. There is a still a 3% processing fee for online monthly donations set up through the blog.

You can also give monthly through a website called Dynapay, which you can sign up for at http://www.adventures.org/dynapay. There aren’t any processing fees when using Dynapay, but Dynapay won’t allow you to choose an automatic stop date at the time you set up donations. You have to contact Donor Relations when you want to stop the donations at [email protected] or call 1-800-881-2461 ex 251.

Also keep in mind with monthly payments, that if you wanted to support me for all 11 months you would need to start before I actually leave, because my final deadline is six months into the Race
