As some of you know, I turned 24 shortly before the start of the race and will be 24 for the duration of it. It was more than a little bit sad to me that I would not be able to celebrate another year of life with my teammates.
My team took it upon themselves to throw me and another teammate a surprise “birthday” party.
The night was spent celebrating life and God’s goodness with ice cream cake, precious homemade banners and thoughtful letters. I had a very, very happy un-birthday in Thailand, surrounded by my dearest friends, and it will forever be a treasured memory of mine.
The way my team loves me is unparalleled. Thank you sweet friends.
