Here we are:  the end of month four in Nicaragua.  We are in the final days of rest before we go on a 3-day journey to the continent of Africa.

Yesterday was our final day as team Soul Spark–the chapter in life now complete (and beautifully written!) It is a bittersweet time, and slightly unnerving since EVERYTHING is changing–teams, continents, cultures, language, etc.  But with discomfort comes growth, and that’s what team Soul Spark wants!!  We want to be molded and sanded down–to be better daughters of the King!  So we will lovingly say goodbye (for now) to be united with other sons and daughters of the King–to be rubbed and molded in different ways, knowing that team Soul Spark is living within each of the new teams!

I’d love to give a shoutout to the one and only Soul Spark:

(From the left: Amber, Emma, me, Jenna, Chelsea, Taylor)

Amber–the eyes of the Lord! She sees everyone and has a heart that wants to meet each person, to hear their stories and to pour into them.  She takes the punches for the team and is always selfless and humble!  She is set-apart and I can’t wait to see what God has called her to do and who He has called her to be!

Emma–beauty-catcher!  Emma has an eye to see creation in a new way, and she captures it with her words and with her camera.  She will love any animal!  She captures the beauty in ratty clothes and dirty feet; in the sunrise and sunset, in a rusty gate or a concrete wall.  She is a women that is seeking her identity in the Lord, and by-golly she will find it!!!

Jessica–the joy of the Lord!  I feel like a new creation–a daughter that is loved and adored by her Father! It’s beginning to shape my words and actions!  My heart is yearning to “bind the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and brake the chains to those who are bound…to give beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning, and garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness…” Isaiah 61:1-3

Jenna–silent servant!  She is quick to do everything that serves others, even if nobody noticed.  She jumps in to learn everything she can within the culture.  She is trustworthy and will find a way to accomplish what is in front of her. She is the majestic work that declares the glory of the Creator!

Chelsea–overflowing with compassion!  I’m so proud of this one–she had come so far and she pressed through struggle these four months!  She opened her life up and allowed us to fight with her, and she is now a tree full of fruit!  She had a heart that seeks the unseen and wants them to feel loved and accepted!  She is loyal and is an incredible and beautiful sister in Christ!!

Taylor–she has a heart of Gold and a love for others that is incredible.  She digs to find the heart behind thoughts and actions, and she pours into each of us like we are her children.  She has a heart that desires to know the Lord more intimately–and she’s not afraid to fight for it!  She smile lights up the room, and her joy warms the atmosphere!!

Im happy to say that this is NOT goodbye, but a “see you later!”  We will take what we’ve learned in this family and sharpen it with new family!

I’m so thankful I was allowed to live like with these amazing women!!  God is sooooo good!
