When you sit on the beach, I am the beautiful, never-ending view in front of you.
You hear the sound of my heartbeat as I crash onto the shore
I bring treasures from the depths so that you can find them in the sand

When you come near, I’m transparent, revealing all that lies beneath
I refuse to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times I’m sent away
My edges foam as it’s stirred by the air above and by the rocks below

When you step in, the comfort of your feet on the ground brings security
I’m patient—I won’t overtake you until you are ready and willing
I am the refreshment that surrounds every part of you—every part that you choose to submerge
My gentle waves rock against you, surrounding a little more of you with each beat

When you sit down, you get a better taste of me
I am the warmth that surrounds your very being
I saturate your coverings and fill every crevice
My waves gently drift over your head,
for I want to immerse you completely
At any time, you can stand and find comfort in the ground beneath you

Many people see my beginning but can’t fathom my end
My source is endless and stretches across the horizon
The unknown within me brings fear to those who witness my unfathomable greatness

But once you experience my depths, you will find reassurance in me alone—not in what you know
You will be confident that I will hold you up, even when there is no ground beneath your feet
I never change; my waters never cease; my supply is never stagnant

When the surrounding winds become violent,
I become mightier
I overcome the harmful enemies and sink them to my depths, where they can never be found
I guide people to areas where I call them
I am full of immaculate treasures and unseen life; it takes someone to willingly dive down and expose it,
My abundant waters and beautiful treasures bring life to those who dwell on land
Who am I?
I am the Ocean of God’s Love
I am calling you out beyond the shore, away from all possessions you find security in.
Our journey is daring, but you will always be engulfed in my arms.
I will elevate you above my waters, and will navigate you to your destiny
All you need to do is dive in. When you are ready, I will sea you there
Depending on where you live or where you have traveled, you may view the ocean as dirty or polluted. And many times, we see the Lord’s love in that way, too. The Lord wants to take you to a place where the waves of His Love are completely transparent and clean; He wants to provide refreshment for you.
