I am embarking on an 11-month missions trip to 11 different countries across 4 continents to minister and serve those in need. I will fit my life into a backpack as I travel through Serbia, Romania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. The backdrops will vary from orphanages to hospitals, and the work will range from construction work to evangelism outreach.

Hi! I’m Janele.
+ I grew up in the Bay Area and would make an excellent tour-guide for San Francisco.
+ I tend to be socially awkward, but people seem to mistake it for charm.
+ Favorite backdrops include coffee shops, city parks, and the beach.
+ Favorite books include The Glass Castle, Perks of Being a Wallflower, and The Little Prince.
+ Favorite movies include Short Term 12, Amelie, and Pan’s Labyrinth.
+ Favorite hikes include Alamere Falls, Yosemite’s Mist Trail, and Lulumahu Falls.*
*The Lulumahu Falls hike is an unofficial, unmarked trail that crosses a sign that says No Entry Beyond This Point. We didn’t actually make it to the falls, we took a wrong turn and got lost for over an hour in the rainforest. We had trouble following the map. Yet here I am, trying to follow Christ.
