About a week and a half ago, 200 World Race missionaries gathered for a special event called “The Awakening” in Siem Reap, Cambodia. This event consisted of 3 days of worship, teaching, prayer, and activation.
Surprisingly, I was one of the few people that was asked to speak and teach a message on a very interesting topic – Intimacy With God.
As funny as it sounds, I was struggling with my intimacy with the Lord this whole past month in Cambodia. I lacked motivation, I was distracted, and couldn’t focus as much as I usually do. I felt the spiritual strongholds and attacks from the enemy so I was feeling spiritually sluggish trying to fight my way through every single day.
But then I realized… no wonder I was struggling this past month with my intimacy with Him! This was because He wanted me to encourage 200 other missionaries… This is how God works. He definitely has a great sense of humor!
I realized that without experiencing the struggle, I wouldn’t have been able to experience the breakthrough at the end of the month and I wouldn’t have been able to share what I shared in front of everyone.
Because of this, I was able to experience a deeper level of His love and intimacy this past month and I’m in awe to see how God is continuing to use me despite of my struggles.
I’m also realizing that He is continuing to teach me my communication style and how to be comfortable speaking on stage in front of a big crowd while just being myself.
