Hey all! I wanted to send out an update on what I have been up to for the past few months and tell you about training camp.
The World Race training camp is located at Adventures in Missions’ base in Georgia. I will have the opportunity to meet my teammates and leaders, as well as participate in team building exercises and different activities that will get us ready to go out as a missionaries. We will be camping in our tents and doing a fitness test with all of our gear. It is going to be challenging, but I know I will grow a lot during the time I spend there, and I am looking forward to meeting the people that I am going to spend the next eleven months of my life with.
It is crazy to think that I will be heading out to Indonesia in January! It is coming up fast, but I have accomplished a lot of the things I needed to do to make this a reality. My parents are awesome and let me move back in with them to save some extra money, and my roommate found a replacement right away at the condo which was a huge blessing. I moved my horse to a boarding place where she can stay while I am gone. She is being well taken care of and is already getting spoiled. I have all the gear I need for my trip now, and training with my backpack is going well (I even climbed Mount. Princeton with it!) I am also about a third of the way to being fully funded!
I am so thankful for everyone that has poured into me with their love, encouragement, and support! I am so glad that God has a plan for me and has already prepared a way for me to go and be His hands and feet. If you have not given yet and would like to, just hit the donate button at the top right hand corner of my blog. It is quick and easy! Every little bit helps! Thanks for reading, and if you want to connect or have questions shoot me an email: [email protected]. I would love to touch base and meet up face to face to share more about the World Race and what God is doing in my life.
In Him,
Heidi
