Who am I?

My name is Heidi, and I am 24 years old. Missions is something that has always been a part of my life and a big part of my heart. My grandparents were missionaries in Costa Rica for 50 years, and I have several family members that are currently serving on different mission fields around the world. My family and I went to Costa Rica as missionaries from the time I was 11 to 13 years old. It was an amazing opportunity for me to experience a different country, language, and culture. I got to see first hand the lasting impact of my grandparents’ ministry, and countless lives that were changed by Jesus through their dedication and service to Him. This (as well as the work that Jesus was doing in my personal life) planted a desire and longing in my heart to live a life of purpose, and make a difference in the world by sharing the love of Christ.

Where am I from?

I am from Denver, Colorado. I love my mountains and will forever be a cowgirl at heart. I have been blessed with an amazing family and friends that are always there to love on me, encourage me, and support me. I have a dog, Mocha, and a horse, Cherokee, and they are some of my biggest joys in my life. I have a degree in veterinary technology, and have been working at a clinic for three years now. I love what I do and that I get to work with animals every day.

What am I passionate about doing?

I am passionate about living each day to the fullest and being intentionally present with the people around me. I have a huge heart for people and desire for them to experience Jesus and His love as I have. I love being around kids, and I am looking forward to working with them more on my trip.
