These little kids don’t have much, many of them can’t afford the $2 a month tuition, many come to school hungry and tired, while others come feeling broken and abandoned. Most of these kids live in predominantly buddhist families whose survival is motivated by fear. Fear from their past and present. A past that took millions and millions of lives, and a present that can’t find enough jobs to put food on the table.
When there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel, these kids are able to find joy and rest at New Hope School. Because the light is there, the presence of God. For this, my soul has one more reason to bless the Lord.
