You guys remember that one time I introduced you to my team? Right, I actually forgot to do that – and now I’m on a different one, soooo… here we go!
Meet Team Vivid:
(There’s supposed to be a picture here, but WiFi is actually the worst.. so if you take a look to the left of your screen, you’ll see pictures of each person and can even click on those links to look at their blogs!)
Jordan – If you follow me on Instagram, you probably also know her as “Tiny Hands” (if you don’t have instagram.. get one, and go follow @wrtinyhands, we’re hilarious). Jordan lives in Ohio, is amazing at photography and videography (she’s a Super Creative), and one of the first things I noticed about her is how gentle & strong she is. I love talking with Jordan about personality types (we’re both ENFP’s, holla!), music, photography (she’s teaching me so many things), laughing at tiny hands, and really just anything and everything random that comes to either of our heads.
Kate – she’s from South Africa, which automatically makes her the coolest. She’s also our trusted team leader and is killing it. I’ve never seen someone walk in leadership so quickly and confidently. Kate LOVES kids, especially the ones she can toss in the air, chase around, and make laugh that cute-little-kid laugh everyone loves. She’s my go-to adventure buddy, treat yo’self advocate, and super encourager. Kate & I were also on the same team originally – so there hasn’t been a day since January 12th that I haven’t seen her face. It’s been great!
Akelea – one of the strongest people I know. I love Akelea for her complete, unapologetic honesty. Seriously, I’m the most non-confrontational person ever & Akelea has pushed me to dealing with things in the moment. Anytime we have a little conflict (which happens because #communityliving) two seconds later she’s back, saying, “Hey, let’s talk about what just happened.” She also asks the most questions – but they’re always mind-blowing, revolutionary questions that make everyone else on our team think. Akelea is a driving force towards personal growth and all of us are better humans because of that.
When I found out about this team, I never expected it. Honestly, I never would have put us 4 together… but the more we spend time together – the more it makes sense. It’s been about a month and we’ve had hard conversations, inside jokes, tears of laughter, and have made so many memories. I have no doubt in my mind that these 3 have my back no matter what – I can trust them with my issues and know they’ll lift me up, they’ll call me higher, and they’ll say they’re right there with me. Not every day is breezy, but every day is good…whether we see it right away or not.
So, here’s Team Vivid.
The world ain’t ready.
