This isn’t going to be too long, but I wanted to say THANK YOU for loving me so well!

I was reading something on Facebook posted by my old history teacher that said:
“The true gospel of Jesus Christ speaks to all people regardless of country, ethnicity, race, or social and economic status… We contribute nothing to our salvation. It is by grace through faith alone. It is all accomplished for us, not by us.”
A few weeks ago, I bought this really pretty planner at Michaels that was on sale. Now, anyone who knows me intimately (especially my mother) would tell you that “Gabby doesn’t plan things, she procrastinates.” This statement would be ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. However, I’d like to call it: “Going with the flow”… I don’t know what came over me that day, but I just really felt like I needed to have that planner. The funny thing is that the Race is all about “Going with the flow”. Trusting that God put you there for a purpose and that He will provide. There isn’t much pre-planning a Racer like myself can do. I knew that when I bought the planner, but I felt like there was something that I needed to use it for.
(Fast forward a week)
I was having a conversation over the phone with my squad leader, Amie Beth. BTW, I just have to tell you all how EXCITED I am to spend the next 9 months with this special woman. Amie Beth, I love you so much already! What a huge blessing you are to me!
So, as we were talking, Amie Beth mentions that one way she’s planning on keeping up with her supporters is by praying for them. Let me explain:
Amie Beth has asked each of her supporters to pick a date during the next 9 months (Sept-May). On this date, she will pray for that supporter specifically and she’s asking that her supporter will also do the same for her.
And it hit me! Really, in that moment it was so clear why God led me to purchasing that planner. I could feel Him urging me to do the same thing.
So, I’m borrowing this idea from Amie Beth because it was so wonderful and I would really love to keep up with all of you over this next year. I would like for anyone who wants to be involved to comment below with a date. Any day between September 9th, 2017 to May 31st, 2018. A day where you’ll remember to pray for me, and I’ll remember to pray for you. I’ll write it in my planner so I won’t forget it! Also, feel free to comment with a prayer request so I can be praying for you now!
Currently, I already have prayer dates for January 2nd and 12th.
Also, 6 days until I leave for Atlanta!!!!! Another blog to be posted soon 🙂
