Stability & Change: Transitions
This blog will be short and sweet but very purposeful. Often times God begins to shift our lives in ways we never planned thought or imagined. We have a few options when this begins to happen. We can resist, we can ask a lot of questions trying to be in control, we can grudgingly go along or we can joyfully submit to the process.
To be honest, sometimes we do all of the above. Lol.
Stability is something most of us seek after not realizing that it is only attained in relationship to constant change. True stability is not stagnant. It’s a dance of readjusting as needed in order to maintain homeostasis. Perfect example. The human body. The only way our body remains stable is by constantly changing according to its internal and external environment. That is how it stays balanced.
Walking in faith, I recently transitioned back to the metro Atlanta area to be near my family for these next 6 months before the race. It seems like a long time and it has truly been a huge change but through it all God has shown me how He is my stability in the transition. If I had tried to remain stagnant as the Holy Spirit beckoned me to move I would have been a hindrance to my own transformation process. The next 6 months are probably going to fly by as well as be some of the most formative and soul healing. It is my hearts desire to grab hold of everything God has for me and desires to do in me and those around me in this time.
Growth is happening, every day I am challenged and stretched and even tried. My faith will be perfected and made stronger in the process but even more important, I am being made to look more and more like Jesus. I desire to transition and be transformed as Christ is formed in me as the Lord sees fit. I am reminded why Maximizing the time and being careful how I live like Paul talks about in Ephesians is so important.
I want to share so much more but my time is being well spent. I have resolved to joyfully submit to the process and that often means things just may not fit and that’s ok. Where I am is good because this is where He can begin to stretch Himself in me. Change is uncomfortable for sure but oh so good for the soul.
With Love,
