Late night thoughts from Tbilisi, Georgia!
The God of all comfort has the answer to every anxious thought or worry. Whenever I am weary, whenever I feel that I cannot go on, when I am hopeless, or do not know what to do, He has something to say.
When I don’t have what it takes, He says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for when you are weak I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
When I am tired, He beckons me towards him, “Come to me when you are weary & burdened, & I will give you rest, take my yoke & learn from me, for I am gentle & humble in heart & you will find rest for your soul. For my yoke is easy & my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
When I am lonely, He whispers, “I will never leave you, I will never forsake you.” (Hebrew 13:5)
When I feel defeated I know that even if I am “struck down, [I am] not destroyed,” (2 Corinthians 4:9) & He says, “I will strengthen you, yes I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:30)
When I don’t know what to do I can rest knowing that, “the Lord is the one who goes before me, He will be with me.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
When I am afraid, He commands to, “Be strong & courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified, for the Lord your God is with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
When I have no hope, the Lord speaks this truth, “For I know the plans I have for you… Plans to prosper you & not to harm you, plans to give you a hope & a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
When I want to give up I know that, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him,” (James 1:12) “& we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; & character hope.” (Romans 5:3)
His love for us is breathtaking, it is vast & immense, it knows no bounds. His love is mighty & strong, faithful & just. His love is scandalous, it’s reckless, it’s fierce & wild. His love is eternal, it is forever, it is persistent, it is unconditional, it is outstanding. His love will never run out, & it will never run dry. His love is every moment, his love is every day, his love is always!
