Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I wanted to take the time to share a little bit of my story and let you guys know where I’ve been, where I am at now, and whats up next.

First off, I’m Emily! I am from the beautiful Pacific Northwest and grew up in Salem, Oregon. I am currently 22 years old, the youngest of three, and have an older brother, Michael, and sister, Sarah. My parents, Debbie and Erick, are my greatest heroes and constant inspiration. The best part about living in this part of the country is that I spent a lot of my childhood adventuring and traveling with my family in our Westfalia VW van! When we weren’t doing that, there was a good chance that I was spending my time horseback, playing the piano, or taking pictures of my friends!

After high school, I spent three years in Redding, CA attending Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. I gained so many amazing experiences during my time there, and left with a community that will last a lifetime. My third year at BSSM was spent assisting a photographer, which is when I first decided to pursue photography as more than a hobby. I love everything about capturing life in all of its imperfections and dazzling moments, and my sister and I now run our own photography business in Salem, shooting portraits, families, and weddings.

I’ve spent the last two years in Salem and Eugene pursuing a degree in Environmental Science at the University of Oregon. I feel the most myself when I am in the wild places, the parts of the world that are untouched, raw, and overgrown. I love both desert and forest fiercely, and want to spend my life protecting this incredible gift of the Earth.

I am a dreamer, painter, dog lover, light chaser, and will find any excuse to camp out in my favorite spot at Joshua Tree. Three things that I value completely are authenticity, simplicity, and community. I believe that life should be done with the people that you love and are inspired by, and that it should be done slowly, savoring and feeling every moment that we have.

I deeply appreciate you taking the time to stop by my blog and learn a little bit about me!

Love, Emily
