Hello, I’m Elizabeth Hahn. I am leaving for an 11 month mission trip in January 2018 called the World Race. I will be spreading the Gospel to many cities and people that would otherwise never hear about it. I am so excited I cannot contain it. I am working towards a goal that I know I can’t meet on my own. I need $17,000. I know, take a deep breath, and get it all out. I know I’ll never be able to reach my goal. I know I’ll never be able to raise that much money. But I believe that the God of David who provided safety, and the God of Ruth who provided security, and the God of Elisha who provided a double portion will provide for me also. And before you start thinking about this as a vacation I just want to give you a glimpse into how I’ll be living for a year. The bag on my back will hold my bed, clothes, medicine, toiletries, house, and Bible. It’s not like I’ll be sleeping at the Hilton, but rather in a tent, in a sleeping bag, on the ground. I want everyone to realize that I’m not doing this for all of the cites I’ll see, or the cool things I’ll do, but for the mission of the whole trip. I am going to share the Gospel, the Good News. I’m excited for this opportunity, and I hope you will follow me on this journey to change the world. I’ve always heard Christians say, “well you can’t save them all.” To that I say, you never know if you don’t try. I believe that everyone can change, because with God’s love in your heart you become a new person, throw off your old rags and become a child of God, the bride of Christ, a fisher of men. I pray that I will not only live the kind of life that Christ lived, but inspire others to do the same. We are all meant to spread God’s love, whether around the world or around your town.
