As I sit and gaze above, I’m reminded of the place I love. Where food is great and friends are dear, and never will I have a fear. But as I live so far away, at times I’m easily dismayed. But God so great and love so true, I count it all joy as I carry on through. We travel each day to new places and see, people, buffalo and children filled with glee. As we talk and laugh and cry some tears, such joy I’ve never felt in years. We walk through the villages, and in to the homes, that are far different than I’ve ever known. The people’s prayers are very dear, Im astonished by their lack of fear. For they know the almighty God who reigns, will never leave them in their pain. At last we drive so far away, I love their smiling faces each day. And now I’m home and looking above, thanking the Lord for his tender love. He reminds me each day that I’m always home, His arms are my comfort and his love is my song. So as I fall asleep tonight, I thank Him for the battle we fight. Although I feel defeated still, His love has shown me, He conquers still.
