This is just a short update on my life and what my summer has looked like so far! What an eventful summer I have had, and it is just getting started! The past 5 weeks I have been working at my second home, Camp Lonehollow. This was my 11th and last summer and what an adventure it was! At Lonehollow I am a cabin counselor, I teach sports classes and am a crew leader for the Trackers. It has been the most incredible experience, and though I’m sad that it’s over, I could not be more excited for what is ahead!
Throughout these 5 weeks, I have had to learn to fundraise and keep in touch with friends and family with the limited time and wifi that I had. This was great preparation for Training Camp and for The World Race! Oh, and speaking of Training Camp, I go there TOMORROW! What?!?! Tomorrow morning I will hop on a plane to Georgia and head to the Adventures in Missions campus for 10 days of training and fun! I truly don’t know what to anticipate. I can’t tell if I’m nervous, excited, both or neither. But I can tell you this, I am fully expectant that God is going to move in incredible ways. I can’t wait to finally meet my squad and my team! Is this actually happening? I will write another blog post right after TC to tell everyone all about it!
In other news, I am done selling T-shirts and rings! I am not yet sure how much I have raised from the shirts, but I do know that I made almost $200 from Go Rings! So, to those who bought some jewelry, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I am now closer to my goal and could not be more grateful. If anyone would like to donate to me, you can go ahead and click the orange “DONATE” button! Every little bit helps tremendously. Seriously, even just $1 can help! Again, thank you for reading, loving and supporting me. It truly means the world!
