During our time in Sunyani, Ghana my team was given the mission to go out and do street Ministry in a community next to the church. We walked through the streets 4 days a week meeting people, praying for them, and teaching them about The Lord. It was wonderful. One day we ended up at a technical school where we got to speak in front of a class of college students. They asked amazing questions. It was evident that God was in that moment. Through that talk we saw 9 students make the decision to give their lives to the Lord. NINE. It was incredible and humbling.
But that was not all that God had in store for us in Sunyani. We also got to meet this incredible woman, Mercy. She has a food stand and a very welcoming presence. She quickly became our friend and visiting her became a routine during our ministry.
My teammate, Chelsy, is very gifted in serving others. After meeting Mercy, Chelsy started asking her what her dreams are and what she wants to do with her food stand. Mercy told her she wants to open a restaurant. Immediately Chelsy jumped into action and planned a way to help Mercy attain her dream.
