There’s a song that I first heard at training camp, during the beginning of My WorldRace season.

It’s a song that pierced my heart deeply and spoke so much truth.

It kind of became a battle cry.

Reckless Love

Over the course of the year, we sang it many many times.

During one of our very last worship times together as a squad, I began seeing the words I was singing, in a different way.

The Lord began to show me how B Squad was the direct reflection of Reckless Love that He wanted to show me.

B Squad, thank you for showing me the Reckless Love of Jesus.

Thank you for being overwhelming and never ending.

Thank you for chasing me down, fighting for me until I was found; even when I couldn’t earn it and didn’t deserve it, you gave yourself to me.

Thank you for the times when I was the foe, but still your love fought for me.

You have been so so good to me.

Thank you for being willing to light up the shadows in my heart.

Thank you for being willing to climb up mountains, coming after my heart.

Thank you for helping me kick down the walls that I had built.

Thank you for tearing down the lies of the enemy that I believed.

You have been so so kind to me.

I don’t think that there’s a more accurate way to describe the 18 other humans that I was blessed to do life with over the past 11 months.

They are fiercely devoted, and wildly loving.

Here’s to you friends, you’re truly a gift from Jesus!
