This month the Lord has been teaching me a lot about thankfulness. It’s no coincidence that in the month we celebrate giving thanks, he is teaching me a much deeper thankfulness.
I’m thankful for being raised in a home where Jesus was never questioned.
I’m thankful for the 21 other people who said “yes”.
I’m thankful for un-comfortableness because it leads me to a new comfortable and pushes me to grow in to a better human.
I’m thankful for my huge family.
I’m thankful for a mattress to sleep on
I’m thankful for my hot room that I complain about every time I go to bed this month… because I have a heater and most people here struggle to keep their families warm.
I’m thankful that I grew up in a place of freedom.
I’m thankful my gifts can be used to serve people all over the world.
I’m thankful for the hard times that I have faced that have led me to where I am today.
I’m thankful that I never have had to question when my next meal was going to be.
I’m thankful for hot water/ an actual shower.
I’m thankful for you.
I’m thankful for my education.
I’m thankful that laughter and smiles are a universal language because sometimes that’s truly the only time we can understand each other.
I’m thankful I don’t have to search for anything to give me joy, I can find it from my Father.
I’m thankful that we can never cap on how well we know the Lord… that there’s always more of Him.
I’m thankful for friends that support and encourage me.
I’m thankful that there are no two people that are the same… because that would be chaos.
I’m thankful for memories, what a sweet sweet gift!
I’m thankful I don’t have to wear my clothes until they ware out.
I’m thankful that on Thanksgiving we feasted and felt a little bit of home.
I’m thankful to have a year that’s not “work hard, play hard, crash hard”
I’m thankful for rest.
I’m thankful that the Lord has no blinders over His eyes. That He sees EVERYONE the exact same no matter their sins, beliefs, skin color, political views or anything else you can imagine. I’m thankful He loves you and me as much as everyone else in the world.
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” Psalms 100:4
