This month is what the world race calls “all squad month.” Which is just what it sounds like. All of our squad (42 people/6 teams) are at the same ministry site for our time in the Dominican Republic.
This month we are partnering with H.O.P.E. DR. We arrived at our ministry site on February 19 and for the first few days we were blessed with some time to settle and rest. At this time we didn’t know what ministry was going to look like for this month. After a couple days and our leadership meeting with our host, teams were assigned different tasked.
So this month we are all working on cleaning up and building things around the site. For the past few days my team has been sorting and moving wood. There are some teams digging trenches, some are building stairs, while others are pouring concrete. It’s a beautiful thing to see all these people serving the lord by getting dirty and working hard. When we aren’t working with our hands for ministry we are going on prayer walks, investing in each other, and spending time with the Lord.
We are so blessed to be in the beautiful mountains with lots of land to explore. After we finished ministry one day a couple of my teammates and I walked through the river and explore Gods beautiful creation! I seriously can not describe the beauty of this place!
I am excited to see what God has in store for the rest of our time in the DR. Can’t wait to share more with y’all next time! (Sorry I would normally add picture, but they won’t load. I will post some on facebook when I share this blog!)
