Home. When I left my home 11 months ago, I though I knew what, and where that was. Now I’m not so sure. My teammate Jon describes it well here:

“Throughout this year I have created something I didn’t think I would. What I created is exactly what I thought would be making me sick being on the road constantly. I created a Home. This home doesn’t have four walls, a roof, or my biological family inside of it. This home isn’t where I was raised. This home isn’t in a town, a state, or even one country. This home is where I feel I truly belong though. This home is like the old saying “Home is where  my heart is.”

When I was in India I saw a sign on the door of a orphanage that read this.

 E-Extraordinary Family

I can honestly say I feel like I am just one member of a beautifully strung together, God made, extraordinary family from 11 different countries around the world. there is no address to this vastly spread home. My home is spread out around the world and with many different people.

As I prepare to return to my “home”  in America in just a few weeks, there’s a lot of mixed feelings. I am so excited to see my family I said goodbye to 11 months ago, but I will be homesick for the family and homes I have left around the world. I have left a piece of my heart in each place….it’s comforting to know that one day Home will be eternal, with no language barriers, no discomforters, no tears or homesickness. All my family will be together for ever and ever, in one place.

Heb 13:14 For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.
