Trust.  Obedience.  Boldness.

That’s what having a yes in your heart looks like and it starts with being deeply in love with the Lord.

Having a relationship with God can sometimes be a wild ride, but I promise it’s always worth it.  God has asked me to do some pretty crazy things, like uproot my life for an entire year to go share His love.

Sometimes the things He asked me to do I find kind of ridiculous, but I’ve learned not lean on my own understanding and trust that God has something bigger planned.  I’ve learned this life is not about me; it’s about the Kingdom.

When we have this perspective it’s a lot easier to be obedient.  I’m not going to lie, I struggle with this.  Sometimes I want to do things my own way, and then God kindly reminds me that I will fall flat on my face living like that.

It is incredibly important that we learn to have a yes in our hearts.

We also need to stop being afraid of how we’ll look.  There is too much on the line for us to live wimpy lives.  At some point we have to be okay with potentially looking ridiculous when we serve God.  Jesus wouldn’t have gotten anything done if he was afraid of what people would think of him.

God calls us to live a life of boldness and sometimes you may look silly doing the things he asks you to do.  Saving lives is more important than what people think of you.

Saying yes to God is not always the most fun thing to do, but it is always necessary.

Sometimes it looks like getting up at 4 am to go to a church service with your friend who has an early flight.  (Shout out to Amanda who visited me from NC)

Sometimes it looks like chasing down a homeless man with two of your friends and a stranger so that you can pray for him and he can come to know Jesus as his savior.  (Shout out to Hannah, Sarah, and Matthew who were incredibly bold that night)

Sometimes it looks like helping to paint a wreck room.

Whatever it is God is asking you to do, I encourage you to have a yes in your heart for Him.  Learn to trust that His plans will always be better than yours.  Be obedient when he asks you to do something.  Seek to be bold wherever you go.

Remember this life is about bringing glory to His name and leading people to the Lord.  You got this brothers and sisters!

With great love,
