Hey friends,
I just wanted to give y’all a quick update on life and the things the Lord is teaching me right now.
I have been trying to figure out who I am for a really long time and it wasn’t until recently that I have realized I’ve been searching in all the wrong places. I have looked to the world instead of God to define me. I have beaten myself up for far too long and I am standing up now saying that I refuse the let anything but my Father define me.
Here’s some things God says about you and me:
Ephesians 1:11-12, “I chose you when I planned creation.”
Genesis 1:27, “For you were created in my image.”
Psalm 139:14, “You are fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Exodus 19:5, “For you are my treasured possession.”
C.S. Lewis says, “I would rather be what God chose to make me than the most glorious creature that I could think of; for to have been born in God’s thought, and then made by God is the dearest, grandest, and most precious thing in all thinking.”
You see, when we start looking at what the Lord has to say about us we get a much clearer picture of who we actually are. We are His children. We are handcrafted. We are worthy. We are loved. We are all these things because He has made us.
Let’s stand together and choose to listen to what our Father has to say about us, rather than the lies of the enemy. Let’s choose to see ourselves as beautiful beings made by the Creator. Let’s choose to love ourselves because He has loved us from the very beginning.
Please let me know what I can be praying about for you friends.
With great love,
Chels
