Romania.

The land of honey. No really. This month my team and I are at Hope Romania in Dragonesti. It’s located in the lower west side and considered a graveyard for the Gospel.

When you think of Romania, many tend to think of the northern region of Transylvania. In the south, it’s a bit different. A bit hotter. There’s less resources here. Hope Church began in Dragonesti (pronounced Dragonescht) and has been multiplying churches in outlying villages across the region.

It’s incredible. There’s a ton of people that have moved to the Olt region to disciple and plant churches with their neighbors.

This month, my team and I primarily worked in Craiova – where a new church plant is growing.

We spent much of our time meeting new people and inviting them to the events we have planned for later this week. These will be in partnership with our parents, who are set to arrive this afternoon for the Parent Vision Trip (PVT).

We also got the opportunity to hang out with some new friends, witnessed a prison ministry baptism, put on programs for gypsy kids, played sports ministry (where I sprained my mid-foot again…), and learned about bee keeping (a few missionary families keep bees to help with support).

Sprinkle in a trip to Greece for our off days with our host family and hours of lice picking – you’ve got our month of crazy shenanigans.

This life is a wild one. You never know what will happen. For me, it’s so much easier to just go / do. It’s taken a conscious effort to sit back and rest in what God has for me.

If I could tell you anything, it’s this: don’t just go through the motions. Be intentional with every moment. Life’s too short and you weren’t created to do it alone.
