Today I am Thankful for morning hikes with a beautiful view of our city
I am thankful for homes with kitchens to cook a “Thanksgiving” meal
I am thankful for a team that laughs and loves together so well
I am thankful for the opportunity to spend a holiday overseas
I am thankful to have a home away from home
I am thankful for this life
Holidays this year look a little different but I couldn’t be more blessed to share this day with so many wonderful people.
Thanksgiving for me is more than eating food and watching football, it’s a day to be thankful for the life, family, friends, food, and homes God has given us. It’s a day full of laugher around a table, sweet conversation, lots of thankfulness, and most importantly family. It’s a day to be reminded of the life God has given us and another day we get to spread His love and enjoy the moments He gives us.
To my family on this Thanksgiving day….
I may not be there to hold your hands for the prayer, sing songs wth Bobby Earl around the kitchen, scream at the tv over the football game, cook with my mom and grandma, laugh with my cousins, take a nap with my grandpa, tell funny stories about how our school year is going with my brother, hold my niece and nephew, but today and everyday after I am thankful for each and every one of you. You have all given me a piece of home to bring here in Chile. You have given me stories to tell around a table, recipes to cook for my team, songs to sing around a kitchen, and memories I get to share around the world.
This Thanksgiving may look very different for all of us but 5,000 miles away or sitting across the table I am so blessed to have the family I do. I love all of y’all so much!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving from Chile.
