On Wednesday the 18th, I came to an interesting realization about our ministry. I was sitting near the small stream we always walk to in the morning and I decided to toss some rocks into the flow. As I was doing this, I heard a voice in my head say, “See how even the smallest pebble can create a ripple?” I paused my rock throwing and thought about it.

While doing ministry here in Lesotho, it can feel like we don’t do much. We walk down to the village every day and visit different people’s houses, sometimes not even doing anything physical for them just praying general blessings over the house and those inside. However, when that thought came to me, I realized that everything my team and I do creates ripples in people’s lives. Every prayer we pray, every piece of clothing we wash, every floor we sweep, and every time we share a bible verse we cause ripples. The ripples will eventually cease, but so will we. We won’t be in Malealea Valley forever. In fact, it feels as though time is already flying as we approach our half way point to our time here. But, everyday I do something and, even if I feel as though it does nothing, even the smallest pebble causes ripples to be seen.
