After traveling from Honduras to Nicaragua my squad got the opportunity to spend about five days together relaxing and reflecting on all that happened during our first month on the field. We would spend the mornings and evenings together as a squad with our leadership team and we had the afternoons free to relax, explore, or do whatever else we wanted. It was a wonderful time of reflection and the squad grew a lot during that time together.
We stayed in beautiful downtown Granada and got to explore a lot of the city. I thought it would be fun to share a bit of my time at debrief through photos.
One of the beautiful churches near our hostel.
The buildings here are all so colorful and you can pretty much find a view of this volcano anywhere you look.
The court yard of the Airbnb where our debrief was held.
The Cathedral of Granada at sunset.
We got to celebrate with two of our squad mates as they recommitted their lives to the Lord and got baptized
Our squad celebrated the super bowl with pizza by pool and Hawaiian shirts.
I ended my time at debrief with a FaceTime call with my favorite birthday gal- my sister.
Debrief was relaxing and sweet. It was nice to be together as a squad and reflect on what the Lord did in each of our lives duri the first month. Here’s to another 10 months of this crazy ride!
