Good evening!
Or if you’re in the states, good morning! Tonight, I just wanted to share about a cool opportunity I had this past week.
This past week, I had the opportunity to speak at prison to the prisoners. There were roughly under 100 prisoners in our service. Me and Luke had the opportunity to speak back to back sharing testimony and some on the Lord’s promises! It was an experience I struggle to describe and recall all the details for! The prison was the main city prison so it was extremely nice; it was also newly built two years ago.
It was my first time preparing and giving a message to a crowd rather than a group of people. It was an opportunity that I know I was able to let the Lord have and use in a rather now way in my life. Luke shared on the freedom and redemption of Christ and I shared on the promise and blessing God gave to Abraham leading up to the birth of Christ and how God is faithful to His promises and also how Christ came from Abraham as part of God’s promise. All this to be said, I feel one verse ringing in my head that I feel like the prisoners received and can allow to transform their walk going along with the message we feel like the Lord used.
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1
I feel in my heart that prisoners that day have taken a step out of slavery and into the freedom and redemption that Christ died for to fulfill the promise of and blessing of Abraham.
Thanks for reading! If you could be praying for my fundraising, I am currently at $13340 out of $14951 needed by December 29 and if you’re interested in donating, you can do that on this website with the donate button.
Have a good day!
