Thailand was definitely my favorite country so far. I was able to grow in relationships with the people I met in that lovely country because I got to spend two whole months there. We spent time with those children 24/7; teaching, putting on plays, and playing sports with them. When the time came to leave it was difficult for me because I kept getting asked the question “When are you coming back to visit us in Thailand?”. The only thing that I could think to say was that Thailand was not on our route for these next countries but hopefully I will come back in the future. The last thing that I wanted to do was to get their hopes up and then never return to see them again, so what I told them was the truth. I hope to see them in the future but unfortunately my world race time with them was up. Over the past few travel days to Cambodia I had the time to realize that I have to trust that I have done enough and shown them all the love of Christ that I had. I have to trust them in the hands of the Lord and know that He will take care of them now. He can do exceedingly more than I will ever be able to.
