Philemon 8-9a   “Therefore, although in Christ I could be bold and order you to do what you ought to do, yet I prefer to appeal to you on the basis of love.” NIV

Father, I declare victory over fundraising. I declare victory over any shame, hesitancy, or embarrassment that comes with asking people for money. I trust in your will and your plan, whatever it looks like. You’ve pushed me in boldness, but there’s more to it than that. Love. Appeal to your people on the basis of love. Love is more powerful than boldness. So now I’ve given it into your hands to love people better than I can. Maybe an act of love moves people into action more than an act of boldness. So I pray for a chain reaction of support that grows out of the seed of love instead of the seed of boldness. Thank you that love is something we can do and not just something we can feel. Thank you for holding my fundraising in your hands so that I do not have to carry it. All praise goes to you for the upcoming day when I am fully funded!
