“You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.” Nehemiah 9:6
We have been in Australia for seven days now and it has been amazing! We are in partnership with YWAM in Byron Bay, helping them wherever we can. And as a result, we have been doing a lot of street evangelism. We start each day by asking the Lord what our day should look like and then we put it into action. It has definitely been an great opportunity to grow with God.
One of the most memorable moments, so far, was when we went to the beach to worship under the stars. When we arrived, the sky was overcast and we couldn’t really see anything. As we started to worship, the clouds began to move and I just sat on the beach in awe of all the stars in the sky. I began to reflect that all creation was made by God and is a reflection of His beauty. The same is true for each person we meet. They are a reflection of God since we are made in His image. God knew how many stars there were going to be, just as He knows everything about us even before we were born. I love that each time we go deeper with God, the more we get to see of Him. Just like the clouds parted to reveal the stars, God shows us His love, His grace and His pursuit after us. And then we realize, that just as the stars we always there, so has God been there all along.
I keep remembering the song “So Will I” (I will add a link at the bottom incase you have not heard it). There is a part that says “I can see Your heart in everything You’ve made” which is so true! Each person shows a different part of God. Whether its though the compassion they have for people or the joy they have about them. I look around and I think each person means so much to God, and I want to be a part of proclaiming His name to everyone. I challenge you to tell someone about God today and how much He is seeking after them. I love that God pursues us in the smallest of moments and reminds us daily of His love.
This is my prayer for the people of Australia, that the clouds over their eyes will be cleared and they will be able to see God. That they will come to know the Lord, and that they are created in His image. So please stand in faith with me during my time in Australia.
