Tomorrow starts the beginning of our 200 mile hike over the course of 13 days… say whaaat?!

This journey is known as the Camino.

The Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James) is a large network of ancient pilgrim routes stretching across Europe and coming together at the tomb of St. James (Santiago in Spanish) in Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain.

Many people follow these routes as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth. Some people choose to hike, bike, or tour through. My team will be hiking this with the goal of averaging 14 miles per day.

I have 2 expectations for these next few weeks: #1 being that the Lord will be providing me with divine appointments and #2 is that I will become a stronger disciple of the Lord (spiritually, mentally, and physically speaking). Whether these expectations occur by meeting other fellow travelers and hearing their stories, having a revelation or heck, being able to endure and persevere this physical challenge. I’d say all three require a willingness to be used in bold ways and asking the Lord for my portion every day before I head back out.

Guys, I’m so ready for this. After these past 9 months all I want is to fall more in-love with the Lord. He’s such a good Father. Simply giving this year of my life to Him was the best decision I ever made. Leaving all of “my world” behind and entering into His provision has brought me so much freedom. The more I surrender to Him, the more He provides for my life.

This is my mindset going onto the Camino: He’s been there for all of the paths I’ve chosen to take in my life so why not choose to take this path for Him?

Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:25-26

Praise! I only need $1,100 left before I’m fully funded!!!
