What is your mindset when you pray? Are you just praying to give it a shot? Do you doubt that anything will even come from it? Do you really TRULEY believe that the Lord can answer your prayers?
If your answer is yes to the last question, maybe your wondering why then doesn’t He just do it? Why doesn’t He just heal the brokenness?
Our God is only as big as the boldness of our prayers. If we don’t think our prayers will make a difference and we don’t trust His goodness, why would He answer us?
Like any relationship, don’t you desire to be perused and trusted? So does He. And He will wait for us to pray boldly, believing He WILL answer.
Maybe you’re thinking how can I trust Him if He’s never perused me? With this I ask you to take a moment and think back throughout your life and actually ask Him where He was and is today. Don’t just think, ASK. Seriously! Do it!
Guys, He’s here. He’s been here and always will be. We are never alone. We are meant to dream BIG because He is BIG. He is a all knowing and all powerful Father who loves us to death, literally.
He wants to give us good gifts. He ONLY gives us good gifts. He doesn’t give cancer, depression, addictions, etc. However, He DOES bring good out of those things.
So I challenge you all today to pray BOLD prayers and dream BIG dreams. Don’t stop praying because you’re not seeing results. Don’t stop praying because things are getting worse. KEEP PRAYING.
Believe it or not, I doubted for majority of my life that He could REALLY answer prayers and heal people of their sickness. When I started following Jesus, I would sometimes limit the boldness of my prayers because I didn’t want to be disappointed if He didn’t answer the big ones (like He ONLY would answer the “easy” prayers). When I visited my sister and her husband awhile ago in Australia, I had been struggling for years with depression and suicidal thoughts. I got counseling, put on meds, went to a behavioral health center for 2 weeks, all the things. When I got to Australia, I wasn’t really sure what my purpose was for being there (I wasn’t following Jesus) but I just wanted to get out of the environment I was in. That trip was the start of my relationship with the Lord. There was one night where my sister, her husband, and I were driving back home from an event and I just felt the need to thank my sister. So I said, “Tina I feel like God wants me to thank you for something big” and she started crying so hard and her husband answered, “Tina has been praying for you every day. When she knew you were depressed and that it was getting worse she was scared, but didn’t stop praying for you. She needed to hear that.” I had no idea. I mean I knew she loved me, but I learned at that moment her prayers saved my life (along with many others).
So please keep praying for this world and all of its brokenness. Pray for your loved ones who are sick. And don’t stop praying.
Dream BIG and PRAY BOLDLY.
Matthew 7:7-8
‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be open to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knocks, the door will be opened.’
