Hey guys! So my team just moved places in Bali. We moved from the city where we were able to meet some locals at their shops, built a few relationships in the short week and overall just observed the culture.
We are now living in a little village in Nyitdah. So far it’s been awesome. Definitely different though; I used my first squatty potty and it was quite the experience. I kinda prefer it since it’s more efficient, but I need to strengthen my leg muscles more. Besides that there’s a few more bugs and it’s a bit hotter at night. Maybe the words “few” and “a bit” are understatements haha, but there’s no place I’d rather be! We are helping a Pastor and his wife with their children’s ministry, woman’s ministry, and their church.
Last night they had their children’s ministry and it was so much fun. Even though I couldn’t communicate, just the ability to be able to smile, laugh, give high-fives and play games was more than I could ask for. We were accompanied by another world race team, GPOD, so that’s been great having more family around! They will be leaving us tomorrow so it will just be my team again.
I’m really looking forward to sharing with you guys more about our time here in the village and what God is doing!
Also thank you to everybody who has been supporting me and encouraging me. It means so much and I’m learning so much about God’s love and character through you all.
