So over the past few days I have had the privilege to host a couple awesome ladies that will be traveling with me on the World Race. Erica and Heidi drove up to not only to see me, but help me pack properly because as they noticed…. I was the most unprepared one during our Training Camp. We also had my sister Becky hanging out with us and being our tour guide because once again…. they noticed that I’m not the best at locations either hahaha. In short, I just felt so loved by all three of them. God seemed to help me through these ladies. He wants me to be prepared for this trip so much that not he sent not only one but two people haha. He also didn’t want us to get lost so he had Becky drive us.
The last night the girls were here, Becky took us out to downtown TC to Ladies Night shopping. The last store we went to was a new/used hiking gear place that sold all sorts of useful things. I had never heard of it. I loved the thought of being able to sell your items after a trip so others could buy and use them and not just sit in the basement! What a concept! We talked to the owner Andrew Butler for a little bit and we told him about the World Race and what he would be doing. I noticed the carabiners on the counter and went to purchase one. Andrew graciously said that I could have it because it would come in handy on my trip. So I want to give a shout out to him! Hey Andrew!!!! Y’all have to stop in and check this guy out if you ever come to Traverse City.
