I was originally going to write this on how things have changed after we’ve been in different places. Because they have. People have had babies. Received a foster child after not having one for months. Shifted their business focus. Given their lives to Christ. Begun the adoption process. Been miraculously healed. There have been tangible shifts as we’ve gone state to state. Doing little things that create a ripple effect long after we’ve moved on.
A few days ago while our team was praying over the second half of this thing, I saw a stone being dropped in calm, clear water. My initial thought was this ripple effect that each of us have in life. Every person in this world has an effect whether they’re aware of their impact or not. But I quickly sensed that there was more.
The picture zoomed out and I saw my team on the shore with rocks in their hands. Arms full of stones. Buckets behind them. It was then that I realized the stones are opportunity. They’re the chances that God gives us to make a difference. To make waves in this world. Even the little stones, when they’re released, create a ripple effect that matters.
Those opportunities could be anything. Offering an encouraging word. Going after that crazy, lofty dream that doesn’t make sense. Praying over a stranger. Praying over someone you know. Going out of your way to love those around you. Calling that person you haven’t talked to in years to remind them that they’re important. Painting a picture and giving it away. It could literally be anything.
This picture isn’t just for my team. I believe it’s for you too. What stones has the Lord given you? Are you just letting them sit next to you or are you throwing them into the water. Choosing action. What little stones have you discounted because they seem small to you? What big stone are you afraid to even try to pick up?
Ultimately God makes those ripples go further than we can even imagine. Are you inviting Him into what you choose to do? Are you letting Him guide you towards the stone He has for you right now?
Dad, I’m trying to sling all the stones I can! Lets Go!!

Fundraising update:
Thank you all so much for your love, support, and prayers! I currently have $2000 left to raise by September 1st to finish out this year on the road. I’ve created an adopt-a-state fundraiser and when all of the states get adopted I’ll be fully funded (:

Here’s how it works.
1. Pick a state.. Or more than one! Maybe you live there? love that state? Want to visit?
2. Claim that state in the comments and donate the amount on your selected state to one of the following places
