A few days ago v-squad was given the opportunity to hike the basecamp of
MOUNT EVEREST
while we are in Nepal (In a week).
What a unique ministry opportunity and adventure of a lifetime! Holy cow! A chance to just do life with all kinds of people and really practice living life as ministry when it’s not explicitly set up…
in a setting as incredible as the Himalaya mountains.
Challenge Accepted.
For 12 days I will hike through the Himalayas alongside people from all walks of life.
-Team Everest (a few v-squad peeps)
-adventurers
-people who are in search of something and don’t know what
-children/adults
-people from all different beliefs and backgrounds
All working towards the same goal!
It’s going to be so cool to be able to take something like this incredible journey and create ministry. To be intentional about investing in people on a personal level.
I’m excited to live life with each of these adventurers. To love them and show them Christ through action. To show that a life lived for Christ is FULL of adventure. To build relationships and encourage.
To make the most of this time both personally and in community.
Because this is not a conventional ministry opportunity for the World Race it requires extra support. It’s an opportunity that I have chosen to accept and like the World Race in general not everyone can
actually go and do it but I would love if you would join me in this specific, grand, mini journey!
Prayers Pleaseee:
-That our focus would remain on the Lord and this would be a growing time in each of our personal walks with Him.
-God’s Protection: this trek is no joke and altitude sickness is a real concern. For 12 days of hiking pray for physical strength and endurance
-That our team would make the most of our time in Nepal. That we would have a mission mindset in the midst of this adventure
-That God would prepare the hearts of people that we will encounter and lead us to those people
-That the weather will be mild (we all know how much I love the cold)
