Welcome to Honduras blog number one.. That’s unfortunately not really about Honduras… Yet.

I only have one more Guatemala post (I think)- which is on the back burner until I can get the wifi to work with youtube for my All-Squad video for the month..

Anyways, I know there were a lot of Guatemala posts.

Here’s why:

In life I’m not great at sharing what is REALLY going on in my life with anyone. It’s not one of my strengths but the Lord has shown me that it’s something I really need to grow in in order to be more effective for Him. So, I’m stepping into that.
Also, God is doing really cool stuff and revealing things all the time. He’s so cool and deserves credit for all the stories, all the experiences, all of the blessings. I am in a position to have more time and to see Him working in different ways than back home and I feel the need to share what He’s doing in it’s entirety to encourage and include ya’ll in what’s happening here.
So, that being said, I still catch myself feeling guilty for posting so many different things. I’m quickly reminded in those moments that people need to hear what the Lord has done. Stories have power. Testimonies have power. Words have power. The Bible is literally a divinely compiled group of stories/perspectives from normal people and look at all the power those have!!
Anyways, that’s the heart behind the zillion and one blog posts. I’m gonna keep em coming until the Lord doesn’t give me any more to say.

HONDURAS:
If you stuck around to this point you actually DO get a sneak peak at what Honduras has been so far!! Lucky you (:

So we’re already over half way through our time here in month three… HOW? This month has been a lot of different things and it’s flying by.

We are living in Choloma, Honduras.

Our ministry is with His Hands for Honduras which is a feeding program for children in the community. They are affiliated with Compassion International which we got an insider view on the last week.

We have a wonderful host family who have welcomed us in to their family and lives.

There are roughly thirteen people, a baby, 2 chihuahuas, 3 ducks, 5 chickens and another larger dog living in our general vicinity (not to mention our mosquito and fly friends who join us for meals)

My whole team is sleeping in one room with enough mattresses for all of us. Praise!!

We are living in a home with electricity, running water and multiple fans and we have been blessed with outdoor space to enjoy the fresh air.

Our team is growing exponentially and I really think we’ve hit a turning point which has been really cool to see.

Also, it’s real hot here. Like next level! But now rainy season has hit, so we’ll see how that changes.

Dad I’m fine 🙂
