Hey y’all. I was challenged to share a journal entry from the race and this is one that I feel that God wants me to share with you all.

So…Enjoy!

First journal entry on the race 1/31/18

“Hey God,

First, I just want to thank you and give you all the glory. You are so good and such an amazing God. Thank you for this awesome opportunity to meet and love on more of your sons and daughters. Lord, you know my heart. I am so not qualified for this leadership role. I don’t know what I’m doing. Help! Please I need your guidance and direction in my life. I want to love and lead like you Jesus. But what does that look like to lead and love this team of women? Father, I know I need you so much more each and everyday. Please give me your grace and your characteristics. Give me your words. I know that you are going to lead me and provide all that I will ever need to do this. If you could just give me the right verses to read, the right stories, that’d be really awesome.

Father, I want to pray for my team that you would cover them with your peace and protection Father. That you would continue to show up and grow their faith daily. Father please forgive me for the times when I fall short. Help me to learn from these mistakes and to ask you first always. God you are always present. You live within and I thank you that your Spirit resides within me. I want so desperately to no longer do this on my own, but to be guided by your Spirit. Because of you, I can do all things through you. I am bold, no fear inside. I surrender all my stubbornness, pride, and selfish ways to you. I am ready for you to take these things that are holding me down. I want to do this the right way and that is only through you Jesus. All that I am belongs to you father. Break me down so that all remains is your fullness.
I’m sorry it took so long to talk to you.

Thank you for always being there.

Your daughter,

Alyssa”

MINISTRY UPDATE: Month 2 – Phillipines – ALL SQUAD MONTH!

E Squad is currently here in Manila, Phillipines working with an incredible organization called Kid’s International Ministries (KIM). Each day here looks a little bit different from the next but, so far we have gone out on many “feedings” into the communities here and provided families with warm meals, prayed for healings, watched people come to Christ, played with children in the orphanages, volunteered in pregnancy clinics, and helped with some construction in a school. The Lord is doing some AMAZING things here and it is so humbling to play such a small part in it.

FUNDRAISING UPDATE:

I am currently over 80% funded for my trip.

$3,227 away from being fully funded. (Praise Him!)

Please feel free to share this blog with you friends, family, coworkers. Also, if you feel led to pray or support this mission in any way that would be much appreciated.

Love y’all,

Alyssa O.
