Yesterday was a day that will go down in history. I got to freely explore Ecuador and let me just say WOW!!! God has sprinkled his beauty all over this place. We started the day riding the cable cars to the top of mt. La pinchia and the view was breathtaking… literally we where in some high altitude so I was huffing and puffing with every step. As we explored the mountain we stumbled upon all these horses which where ours to ride for a small fee… so we saddled up! As I was bouncing around on the back of a horse God was like “Allie look at what I created” and when I glanced to my right I could see the whole city from north the south and when I glanced to the left I could see nothing but mountains and hills rolling for miles. I was in awe because I’ve never seen something quite that spectacular, but God wasn’t done with the show. When we came down the mountain there just happened to be an amusement park within my view…. What are the odds that within the same hour I could hope off a horse and onto RollerCoaster!!!!!! After being bounced around on a rickety coaster that definitely didn’t meet any of the American safety regulations we had some extra tokens to blow so we hit the arcade. Me and Shannon spent the tokens on skeeball (of course) where we both reached the high score and just to confirm we where winners the machine spit out hundreds of tickets!!!!! We cashed them out for temporary tattoos and matching bracelets then we where off to burn daylight. We went to Old Town Quito, which is a magical place to say the least. There we walked up and down old cobble streets poking our heads into little vendors and eating up all the culture this little world had to offer. Thought out the day we tripped a lot, not on the stone paths but over spectacular adventures and one of my favorites was stumbling into an old cathedral. When I walked into the magnificent church I immediately felt a wave of reverence in the air. The church was lined with intricate architecture that held so much history and told a story. The story to me was that my God is powerful not just that He my best friend, but He is also a HOLY KING. After leaving the cathedral I was at a loss for words, but not a loss of appetite… so we picked a random restaurant and asked the taxi man to drop us off. When the cab came to a stop I glanced up and we were at the top of a mountain under a huge magnificent statute of an angel…. But it wasn’t a restaurant so we where very confused. Some locals pointed us in the direction of the restaurant which was on the side of the mountain!!!!! The view from our table showed the whole city sparkle and light up as it changed from day to night. I don’t know how everything turn out so perfect yesterday, but God must of had something to do with it. It was kinda like He was my tour Gide and He was showing me all His favorite spots in Ecuador.
