Colombia is coming to an end and today it hit me that I love to travel and meet new people but I hate goodbyes. At the beginning of the month I wrote in my journal that I really wanted to get a better understanding of God’s love and I’m about to explain just how He answered my request. He brought me children that I absolutely fell in love with. Sara came bouncing into my life and she is one of the sassiest girls I’ve ever met and I mean that in the most fabulous way possible. Her hair looked fantastic everyday and she always had some kind of sparkly hair clip in to tie it all together. God loves me enough to know that when everything seems so serious I start to get really overwhelmed so being the awesome God he is he sent me people who’d help me let go of all my stress and remind me what its like to play. Me and Sara would play all day….we would start the day off with a fashion show then we would run to the swing set and maybe grab an orange off the tree for a snack and end with a finger paint session and a whole lot of giggles. He also brought me into a community of people that makes waking up at 6:30am to make 60 people coffee kinda fun. Being surrounded by people that are truly dedicated to the expansion of God’s kingdom puts a smile on my face even when doing tedious tasks. The only explanation for that is being submersed by God’s love because as most of you know getting up at 6:30 is no easy task for me. He brought me an inspiring women named Rebecca who lived and is still living a pretty noteworthy life. One day when we where cooking a lot of potatoes she told me that she used to live in Manhattan and worked with a nonprofit organization that helped people in Africa. While she was telling me her story it was like God was whispering to me that living life with him is a guaranteed adventure and that was just another affirmation of his love. The most sincere form of love is being fully know and the fact the my Father loves me enough to know that I crave a life full of adventure makes me feel so treasured.
