Being on the race has taught me quite a bit of new things and has furthered my learning in areas. I’ve always been the type to just kind of go with things, I’m not a big fan of planned out new things. Being on the race is an 11 month time period of life where things a majority of the time don’t go no where near the plan.
For the past few months we’ve all been praying about Nicuagra. and the political mess that has been going on. We had already talked to our host and got safety details on what we could and couldn’t do while there. We had already learned about our ministry and exactly what we would be doing while there. So needless to say we were all pretty pumped about our time there and the beginning of Central America!
Let the travel day begin! Travel day wouldn’t be travel day without some kind of hiccup for us, it’s just the way it’s been all race long. We were told that the government would no longer let us into the country for several different reasons which to some of us was kind of a bummer! It’s just a thing you learn to not always have the plan go according to plan. Which is also making you trust in God a lot more than you ever would before. The man upstairs always has a plan going and it’s always better than the one you think you have.
I think everyone in life needs to live with the thought of “ok, that plan didn’t work, what’s next God?” It will honestly make you a lot less disappointed and a lot more trustworthy of God, and at the end of the day who doesn’t need to trust God more?
