Today is mothers day, a day where mom’s all over the world get a special day to celebrate just them. It’s a day where we can show even more love to them than we normally would any other day!
There’s a book in the beginning of the bible called Deuteronomy where God tells us to honor your father and your mother, that same verse also happens to be the 5th commandment. God values mom’s so much that He made it a command for us all to both love and honor our mothers. God see’s and understands the importance of moms in our life. We’re suppose to love them everyday but why not have a special day out of the long year for them.
In another book of Proverbs 23:22-25 it once again tells us to give respect to our mothers for without them you wouldn’t be here. Your mother’s soul should be filled with gladness because of you! One of our many goals in life should be not only to take care of our mom’s but to make our mom’s laugh and smile by doing whatever needs to be done to make it happen. My mom was sad one day a few years back so I decided to put on a show for her by singing and imitating her favorite musical artist all while using a broom as a guitar and keyboards. I felt so accomplished at the end of it because she was laughing and smiling again at the end of it. Me acting like a fool brought tears of happiness to her and it didn’t even bother me to do so. And that’s all I wanted, that’s all we should want at the end of the day, to hear our mom’s laugh.
We should praise our mom’s, our mom’s show us love each and every single day by taking care of us, feeding us, giving us water, providing a shelter for us to be protected from the outside. I know for me personally my mom has always been there for me and has always given me what I needed and sometimes even the things I wanted.
So the next time you see your mom I want you to give her the biggest bear hug you have ever given! Make sure it’s such an amazing hug she’ll remember it for the rest of her life! Give her a thousand kisses today and always take care of her!
