Here’s what my month has been like, in pictures! I thought you guys (I’m trying to transition back to using “you guys” after hearing my squad use “y’all all” year long, haha) could use a break from all my writing so here are some pictures! Check it out:
k i d s Ministry
We work with the school Pastor James founded called Kigali Christian Academy.
For a short time in the mornings we, sing songs, play games, like “Red Light, Green Light” and share a short message or verse.
We worked primarily with the younger classes, from the ages of 3 to 5.
Here’s me interacting with an older class.
Preaching & Teaching
Wendy the preacher, NOT.
While preaching is not one of my spiritual gifts, I have become more comfortable talking in front of a crowd thankfully through the Holy Spirit. Each of my teammates and I actually preach & teach about 3x a week so it’s been awesome to hear each one of them speak. God is so cool!
Fellowship (a.k.a kickin’ it with our host family)
3 out of the 5 children we live with: (left to right) Caleb, Joseph Joshua
The newest edition to the family, besides my team and I, baby Jonathan
How you hold a baby in Rwanda, featuring Edna and Joshua.
More often times than not, the boys would come into our rooms and touch all our things, including our phones, so here is a picture taken by the lovely Joshua:

Last but not least here’s our African grandparents (to the right of me) and our mom Olivia (to the left of me).
And that wraps up my month so far, in Rwanda. We’ve also went around doing house visits one day but I forgot to take some pictures. Soon enough my squad will be leaving… I can’t believe we will be leaving for our last month and country next Thursday! AWWW, where has the time gone?!
Anywho thanks for reading and until next week, Wendy.
