The easiest thing to do is complain.
So so easy.
We are so quick to look at our surroundings and be upset about something.
But, a complaint is also a choice.
I have been on the road since July, haven’t had a home, a job, or stability.
In my time before the race in the U.S. I was reminded of how much of a blessing family is. And how alike we are, and how much we can learn from our differences. I had been living away from them for 3 years, and reconnecting was a blessing.
In my time in Chile, our living quarters were amazing, no complaints, just blessings. Getting to know new humans and learning to live in community with them was a challenge, but we chose learning.

With November came Argentina, there we were stripped away from society with no internet, and how lucky were we. Forced to have intentional relationships there we created roots and flourished with human interactions.

December. Birthday month. Christmas approaching. This screams complaint and hard times. One more time I want to choose thankfulness and growth.

Thankfulness Poem
Complaint is the compliance of soul
Thankfulness is the richness of simplicity
Abundance I have seen
The sun sweetly reminds me of strength
The wind lightly announces renewal
Our songs declare truth
Distance cannot affect the blessings of family
Time goes but memories are eternalized
A life of thankfulness I seek
A life of simplicity I have chose
A life of service
