We only have 2 weeks left here at Impact Africa and I never want to leave. Working with this organization has been my favorite part of the entire race. The Holy Spirit is in this place and is working through these people in amazing ways. When we first got here we did evangelism almost everyday, we were in the communities making an impact on everyone that we talked to. We have long days but they are well worth it to be in front of that many people sharing the Gospel every single day. We still primarily do evangelism but we’ve also gotten to see other parts of Impact Africa, like the Impact Students program. We are able to go into public schools and be in the classroom teaching about Jesus and we also get to do assembly’s where we are in front of hundreds of students at a time. The influence that this organization has is crazy awesome and it’s unbelievable that I get to be a part of it. We’ve spent some time working with Impact Kids, which are schools that Impact Africa has opened for little ones to attend, get an education, and learn about the gospel at a young age. The schools hold kids around the ages of 2-6 and we have the privilege of going into the schools and dancing and playing and teaching these babies almost every week! Impact Kids is my favorite ministry here the kids are so cute and sweet and impressionable. We’ve also been able to work with the Impact Baby Rescue (IBR) while we’ve been here, which has been so inspiring. The IBR team goes into clinics and educates moms on the hope that Jesus brings us and why it’s important not to dump their baby. 3 babies get literally thrown away everyday just in Johannesburg. The IBR’s goal is to have mommas keep their babies but if that fails they have a rescue program where they are able to take in unwanted babies and provide them with life long family care. It is absolutely amazing they are restoring life to these babies everyday. Another part of Impact Africa that we’ve been involved with is their intern program. The interns here are amazing and we get to spend a lot of time with them. Impact Africa is extremely passionate about discipleship and pouring into everyone that works with them, the intern program is an awesome way to be discipled and to learn more about God and yourself while doing mission work everyday. The opportunities that the internship hold are more than amazing.
This organization is truly making an enormous Impact in Africa they are filled with the Holy Spirit and it is so evident in everything that they do. It has been more than a privilege to work along side them for the past 2 months.
