Haiti to New York to Qatar to South Africa. after a real long three days, we made it to Johannesburg in South Africa where we stayed and rested and explored the city. I’ve now been in Maun, Botswana for almost 2 weeks. woo

here is a lil run down of my day to day life here in Maun.

I’m living in a log cabin in Maun with 11 other ladies and 3 guys. every night we band together and make dinner, I’ve burnt everything so that is great.
We are staying with Love Botswana, an organization that is running through the village church. These next 2 months will look like having ready hearts and being where we are needed, mainly relieving the hands that work for Love Botswana full time. we live moment to moment here, everything is up in the air, ministry wavers from prison teaching, youth leading, media for the church, being prayerful for people in the hospital, playing and loving on the orphanage kids (all from the ages of 0-5 including several sweet special needs kids).  the caretakers are the moms for these 17 children- truly loving them as their own, it’s beautiful and inspiring. The other day my team had a picnic/birthday party in the backyard of a hotel, we played and loved and fed and gave the mom’s a deserved break. It was chaos, those ladies are powerhouses of endurance, perseverance, abundant love, and HARD work- the source had to of been God, otherwise, their daily lives would not be humanly possible. We’ve got to lead youth for the village church- the energy and praise and spiritual fervor, truly hungry and expectant for God. every sunday morning we sit with elderly women, making them peanut butter sandwiches and hot tea. just random and sweet. they always grab my hands and kiss my face, just sitting and smiling and laughing, no language barrier limits simple love. Prison ministry was wild, walked into a room of about 30 middle aged men clapping and singing hallelujah. I got to share some words and listen to a woman working at the prison, Edith, speak truth and life, she was on fire. Being in their presence was an honor, they had wisdom and a depth of experience with God and life- WAY beyond me, not a single man spoke but words didn’t need to stand, it was just a holy aura, maybe the holy spirit in them.

Botswana is real relaxed and chill, being on time is just not a thing. my kind of place.
