Ivose.
A woman that embodies strength and sacrifice and faithfulness. smiling and laughing wide while sitting on a broken chair made for a kid, sitting at the edge of her dirt lawn inviting whomever that passes into her space.
Ivose. seriously, a groundbreaking lady, took my breath away, inspired and lifted, gave me Hope.
Ivose is separated from her husband. Without a source of income. Rose, Ivose’s sister, passed 2 months ago. Rose had 8 children. Ivose single-handedly has taken in all of them with open arms, while caring for her own 4 children.
12 children. Jobless. Grieving.
Something along Ivose’s response, tears welling in her eyes,
“My God is faithful, He’ll provide, He is good to me.”
That woman is something golden, I wish I had words to give her justice, but she is so much more than the confinement of my words.
Ivose is empowering. A sacrificial servant. Persevering and full of rejoice. A walking and breathing Hallelujah.
My prayer.
God, turn your eyes to Ivose tonight and everyday till Heaven comes.
I pray that my words on this page lift more prayers up for this woman. Encourage her, remind her that SHE CAN when days get hard. Send angels to the gate of that home, may they shield and protect those 12 kids, be with them in ways Ivose can’t be. May they be apart of the revolution and revival happening in Haiti’s upcoming generation. May Ivose’s spirit break through the walls of her village- sparking curiosity and liveliness everywhere she steps. I heard that you bless the hands whom steward the little you hand them wisely, I pray big blessings, groundbreaking blessings. Gosh, she is a living testimony that You exist.
Shower Proverbs 31.
May Ivose be clothed with strength and dignity. Ivose opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. God, give Ivose the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.
May this nation and I learn to have an expectant faith in the seemingly impossible. May I be a woman that empowers and lifts up other women. May I be more of You and less of me.
Thank you for letting the holy spirit in her reach the holy spirit in me.
If I don’t see her again on Earth, May I get the honor to join in praising her at the golden gates.
Hallelujah and amen.
