Our instructors stood in front of the room, calling out name after name.
Welp, my name was called, and my word that was so prayed into by them. “Tamara, the dauntless”. Presented to me by a faithful friend and leader, Ben Able.
I walked up, teary eyed, received my word, my keychain, and proceeded to take a seat.
To my right was my discipleship partner from this semester, Lindsey. To my left, the woman who lived with me for 6 months and now walked through hard stuff with me for 5 months, Elaine Donithan. And next to her , her boyfriend.
To the right of my discipler sat Catherine Read, who is a faithful friend, a sister, and someone who has been so intentional to pursue me and get to know me.
All around the room, the faces of influence who’ve beautifully marked my life with Christ through their love for me.
So, I sat down, trinket in hand, full to the brim with thankfulness. Thankful for new friendships, sisters, brothers, and some delicious food!
I have been astounded by the weight of influence that has been given to me by the Lord and heartbroken to realize that I haven’t always used this well.
But, I know God brought me here to CGA to show me that I am a leader, full of influence, and that these are small steps to a bigger picture that I can’t imagine yet.
Thank you for your support and prayers. My family back at home, my beloved Z-squad, Stacy, Tammy, Ben, my house mentors Bella and Courtney, my roomies Abby and Averi, Kaylalynn, Travis, Jeremy.. for believing in me.
This is a sentimental one y’all. (Yeah I’ve been in the South too long haha).
There are things coming up next. I’ll share that soon. Farewell CGA.
